1. Travelers to China will need to show a negative nucleic acid test taken within 48 hours prior to departure. The test result will need to be noted in the customs health declaration form. Inbound travelers no longer need to apply for a health code from Chinese embassies or consulates. Those who test positive need to postpone their travel until they have a negative test result.
2. Nucleic acid tests will no longer be conducted on inbound travelers upon arrival. Those with no issues to report in their health declaration who have been given regular customs inspection and quarantine clearance can enter China without being subject to quarantine. Those with issues to report in their health declaration or symptoms such as fever shall receive antigen tests at the customs. For travelers who test positive, those determined to be asymptomatic or mild cases without serious underlying health conditions may self-quarantine or exercise self-care at home or place of residence. Other types of cases are advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Those who test negative shall go through regular customs inspection and quarantine clearance in accordance with the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law and other established laws and regulations of China.
Policies for Regional Travelers
1. Remote PCR testing If a person from Hong Kong or Macao has no history of living in foreign countries or other overseas regions within 7 days, he or she is not required to enter with a negative nucleic acid test result of COVID-19 before traveling; If there is a history of living in a foreign country or other overseas regions within 7 days, the government of Hong Kong and Macao shall check the negative nucleic acid test results for COVID-19 infection 48 hours before the trip, and those who are negative can enter into the mainland (infants aged 3 years and below can be exempted from the nucleic acid test).The cross-border passenger transport carrier informs passengers of the above nucleic acid detection requirements when selling tickets.
2. Inbound Quarantine After arriving at the port, the entry personnel from Hong Kong and Macao shall complete the necessary customs clearance procedures with the health declaration code of the customs. Those with normal health declaration and normal routine quarantine at the customs port can be released into the public. People with abnormal health declaration or fever and other symptoms shall be tested by the customs. If the test result is positive, the person shall be isolated at home or residence or be treated as required after entering the country. Those with negative results will be subject to routine quarantine by Customs in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Health and Quarantine". After entry, comply with the requirements of territorial epidemic prevention and control.

VISA
Most foreigners are required to hold a valid passport and have a visa issued before entering Mainland China. It is traveler’s responsibility to obtain a visa before departure. Please check with your consulate or embassy in your home country timely in advance for timely processing. Travelers without the necessary documents will not be permitted to enter Mainland China. Visas will not be issued upon arrival in Mainland China.
